How do I know how much radon is in my home?

The only way to know how much radon is in your home is to get it tested. You can call your county to see if you qualify for a free test kit. TJ Radon also performs radon tests.

How does a radon mitigation system work?

Mitigation of radon in the air is accomplished through ventilation, either collected below a concrete floor slab or a membrane on the ground, or by increasing the air changes per hour in the building. Treatment systems using aeration or activated charcoal are available to remove radon from domestic water supplies.

What level of radon requires mitigation?

The EPA recommends that you take action to reduce your home's indoor radon levels if your radon test result is 4 pCi/L or higher.

How long does it take to install the system?

The average installation time is 4-6 hours.
